Externship Resources

One of the most important times in your education is the externship.  Externships give you the opportunity to see how the skills and theories you have been learning about in class apply to the professional world.  Many students find that their externships lead to future employment.

In addition to reviewing everything you have learned in your classes, there are a few things that you can do to prepare for your externship.  Visit our Career Services Department for a good overview and for advice.  Update your résumé.  Speak with IHE alumni who can share their externship experiences.

Of course, you know your library has some resources that could be useful.  You can use our online catalog and/or look in the following sections of the bookshelves:

HF5381-5386 Vocational guidance, career development
LB3602-3640 School life, student manners and customs
