Welcome Back! New Titles, November 7, 2012

IHE reopened its doors yesterday.  Like much of Jersey City, we were out of power, but now we’re back in operation.

Our building was not damaged, but there are many that were.  If you’d like to help out those who were hit badly by Hurricane Sandy, now might be the perfect time to volunteer.  Hoboken, for example, can use a helping hand from some health professionals.  A quick internet search will show you where you can volunteer.

IHE Library subscribes to Journal of American Dental Association, or JADA,  a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal about dental issues.  The cover story of the October issue is “Reporting Suspecting Child Abuse”—something that some dental office workers have to confront.  You can borrow a print copy, or find articles online.  Articles from issues that are at least a year old are available at http://jada.ada.org/.  This website also includes tables of contents and abstracts (summaries) of articles from issues past and present.  If you want help finding an article, ask your librarian.
